HEALTH, BEAUTY & RELAXATION 101
We are always looking for ways to improve and enhance our skin, diet and exercise regiments. We’re always hopeful that the next infomercial product will be the answer to all our prayers. But the answer is not in some miracle pill, topical cream or 15 minute DVD, the answers to our most troubling problems can actually be very simple. There are very basic enhancements we can make to our daily and weekly routines that will improve or enhance results in each area. Here are some simple things we can do to reveal noticeably improved results over time: DRINK MORE WATER!!!! Water is a necessity so that our body functions efficiently. The slightest sign of dehydration can affect how well we feel mentally, physically, emotionally, and how well we are able to function in life. Water helps absorb and transport nutrients, and assists in flushing out waste and toxins. Rule of thumb: drink the equivalent, in ounces not pounds, of half your weight. For instance, if you weigh 180 lbs., it is recommended that you drink 90 ounces of water per day.
ENJOY YOUR SLEEP. Adequate sleep is vital to well-being. Sleep is an opportunity for your body to rest and revitalize. To get a better sleep you can do any of the following:
REFRESH YOUR SKIN. Exfoliate skin 1-2 times a week. It assists in the removal of dead skin cells and cleans your pores. Not only does exfoliation improve the appearance of the skin, it also stimulates blood and lymph circulation. You can use a loofah, glove or brush. Natural fibers are best. Exfoliating in the shower or bath only take about 5 minute, so why not take the time to reveal greater looking skin! EXERCISE. You should do some form of aerobic or cardio exercise for at least 30 minutes three times a week. The type of cardio exercise is up to you. You can walk, jog, swim, dance, or cycle. Choose an activity that you can build up gradually and slowly. Don’t set your goals too high, because this can lead to frustration or “burnout”. It is also very important that you choose an activity that you enjoy. You can also keep things new by varying your cardio activities. |
